I've come to believe; the only way out is through, thru connection with your authentic self. To help with this I use present centered compassion, deep listening, mindfulness and focusing to work through the now to heal the past and thrive in the future. I have both an undergraduate and Master's degree in Art Therapy and also trained in trauma therapies, Internal Family Systems, ACT, DBT, CBT along with somatic approaches. I have had training in working with various natural medicines regulated in Colorado though the latter not covered by insurance through Headway.
I offer a compassionate, person-centered, non-judgmental approach. I believe art helps to pull up, like water from a well (draws up) the inner self and the art product can be explored to help find the answers the client is looking for. I also work with, mindfulness, , helping clients to look within with conscious awareness.
As an Art Therapist, I'm aware many people shy away from art and I do have skills in talk therapy as well having led groups in DBT/CBT, Mindfulness, relaxation and individuals with self hypnosis. I've studied Bi-lateral stimulation and energy healing such as Reiki. I offer a mind, body, heart, spirit integrative approach.
