Feeling heard and understood are human needs that lead to a fulfilling life. Finding a therapist that you connect with can be like any other relationship- frustrating until it clicks. I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship is the backbone of a meaningful therapy experience. As a therapist I am committed to leading with authenticity, openness, and respect so that you feel comfortable to show up as your whole self. Being human can be hard, and facing these difficulties in therapy can feel very vulnerable and scary. Together we'll navigate any and all emotions that arise and work toward your personal therapy goals.
I am naturally drawn to a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy as well as a sprinkle of existential therapy which allows us to explore the highs and lows of life through a lens of acceptance. I have experience working with ACT, CBT, DBT, EFFT techniques. Together we will periodically check in with what is/is not working and adjust as needed.
My role as your therapist is not to solve problems; ultimately, it is your own commitment to openness, honest communication, and active participation that will bring about any and all therapeutic changes.
