Jackie Meltz
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, PsyD, LCSW
I help people to rapidly get to the core issues which keep them stuck in their lives, be it unhappy in their relationships, chronically depressed, angry, anxious, or just suffering. What almost always what creates suffering is the avoidance of painful feelings, either feelings from the past or recent events. When we avoid these painful feelings, we develop symptoms and suffer. The treatment approaches I use are evidence-based, meaning they've been researched, tested, and proven to work. And they lead to accelerated and long-lasting change, normally a fraction of the time it takes with other types of therapy.
By bringing to the surface deep, buried, often complex, underlying thoughts and feelings and digesting them (feeling them in our body), we become free of unwanted symptoms. I offer a FREE 15-minute phone consultation, where we can briefly discuss the issue you want help with and you can get a sense of me.
I've been a practicing psychotherapist for 20+ years. I am based in Boulder, CO but also see clients via tele therapy (online) who reside anywhere in California, since I had a practice in CA for many years am still licensed there as well.
