I focus on improving life satisfaction rather than just reducing symptoms, offering a compassionate ear, coping skills, relational techniques, and strategies for lifestyle changes. I provide counseling in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, currently working with adults, and couples. I can help with depression, anxiety, trauma, romantic and family relationships, parenting, and identity issues.
I draw primarily from trauma- and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, the Gottman method. My practice is informed by a holistic worldview that considers the context of each person and family, different layers of identity, and social barriers.
It’s my belief that every person deserves to be heard without judgment and to get support to live a fulfilling life, no matter their layers of identities, disabilities, sexual orientation, nationality, and relationship formats, etc.
