I focus on improving life satisfaction rather than just reducing symptoms, offering a compassionate ear, coping skills, relational techniques, and strategies for lifestyle changes. I provide counseling in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, working with teens aged 12 and older, adults, and couples. I can help with depression, anxiety, trauma, romantic and family relationships, parenting, and identity issues.
I draw primarily from trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems, the Gottman method, DBT, and mindfulness. My practice is informed by a holistic worldview that considers the context of each person and family, different layers of identity, and social barriers.
It’s my belief that every person deserves to be heard without judgment and to get support to live a fulfilling life, no matter their layers of identities, disabilities, sexual orientation, nationality, and relationship formats, etc.
