I work with eating disorders, suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, and trauma. I am a licensed clinical therapist in Columbia, Missouri. One of my goals is to bring awareness to the client through tracking, reflecting, and attunement. I have over 90 hours of trauma-informed yoga training and 20 hours of somatic experience. I use this knowledge when working with bodies that hold depression, anxiety, and various kinds of trauma.
I have received and completed level one of the Internal Family Systems therapy model. IFS created this opportunity to understand our internal world. It allows us to bring healing, clarity, and understanding to the different parts we hold within us. I utilize IFS with teens and adults.
I utilize child-centered play therapy and child-parent relationship therapy. Play therapy is a certification beyond a master's degree and requires 35 hours of supervision and 350 hours of Play therapy training. Play therapy is the most developmentally appropriate approach for children.
