I’m a down-to-earth therapist who believes small steps lead to big changes. I enjoy bringing humor into sessions when it fits, and I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens. I work with teens, adults, and families facing anxiety, trauma, OCD, depression, chronic illness, disability, religious trauma, and LGBTQIA+ issues. (and other life issues). I love helping people reconnect with their strengths and move toward a more authentic life.
I use a trauma-informed approach to help clients process the past and build on their strengths. We'll start with small, manageable goals and move at your pace toward meaningful, lasting change. I am trained in EMDR and am happy to include it in therapy if it feels right for you.
Starting therapy can feel weird—we’re starting off as strangers talking about your life—it doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a sense of humor into the room (because sometimes laughter really is good therapy). If you’re feeling unsure but curious, that’s a great place to start.
