I’ve been a mental health counselor for 20 years and enjoy working with all ages. My experience includes play, activity and sand tray therapies along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and I’m EMDR certified. I enjoy helping clients figure out where the unhealthy thinking styles come from and learn new ways to think. With all clients, I work towards developing trust and rapport by creating a safe, therapeutic space. My style is making clients feel comfortable with a warm, outgoing and fun atmosphere, which can work very well for those nervous about coming to therapy. We might laugh and cry in session, and I pride myself on connecting.
What sets me apart from others is my background as a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (including Positive Parent Trainer), Sand Tray Trained Therapist, EMDR trained counselor and creative user of CBT strategies.
