Jack Smith has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Ethics, and a master’s degree in Counseling, both from Mid America Christian University, in Oklahoma City. After graduating and finishing his practicum hours, Jack is currently completing his LPC candidacy at Mid Del Youth and Family Center, working with students in the Midwest City and Del City area. He began working in group homes as a houseparent and activities coordinator.
Jack has received certification to administer The First Offenders Program, working with teenagers that have been arrested for the first time, and works alongside OJA serving juveniles that need mental health services as a requirement for completing probation.
Jack has over 7 years of experience facilitating the mental health needs of children, teenagers, and young adults, and prefers to work primarily within the Reality Therapy framework along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
