Jack Smith has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Ethics, and a master’s degree in Counseling. He has worked in the mental health field for nearly 15 years and is currently at the Owen Clinic providing psychotherapy for individuals and families.
He has substantial experience in court-mandated counseling, with numerous court-related cases including reunification therapy, co-parenting, parenting coordination, mediation, custody conflicts, and reintegration therapy.
Jack primarily uses reality therapy and CBT. He specializes in working with family needs, including kids, teens, couples therapy and more specifically, parenting.
He shares an in-depth expertise treating couples, marriages, and families with a variety of issues, including those in blended families, high-conflict relationships, and fractured parent/child bonds. He has extensive experience working with children and teens in dealing with issues such as neglect, abuse, trauma, alcohol and drug use, and criminal activity.
Jack has nearly 15 years of experience facilitating the mental health needs of children, teenagers, and adults. He prefers to work primarily within the Reality Therapy framework along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
His passion is working with teens and parents. Specifically, walking alongside parents as they learn how to raise successful children.
