About
Counseling is a pretty scary idea. Often, the clients that I work with have not experienced a safe relationship in a long time. The idea of sitting in a room and sharing your life story with someone seems like a recipe for betrayal and pain. At some point, though, the need for healing outweighs that risk and you choose to start working towards wellness. It is an uncomfortable, heavy, and ultimately extremely rewarding journey. I'm ready to get started with you.
I have specialized experience working with individuals and relationships struggling with trauma, grief and loss, personality disorders, relationship struggles, co-dependency, and addictions. I have training in EMDR and DBT. I am happy to work with anyone who sees a benefit in what I have to offer and I am always up for learning new things.
Counseling is a really dynamic relationship that has the potential to change and disrupt your life. That sounds scary, and at times it can be, but it’s meant to be honest. Counseling can be life-changing, so if you want things in your life to be different, counseling is a way to make that happen.
