My practice is exclusively dedicated to serving adults with OCD. I offer an intensive and highly customized approach based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) combined with Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP). Although ERP is the gold standard treatment for OCD, misconceptions about ERP often result in unnecessary fears. The pain of ERP treatment is no greater, and often less, than the pain you are already in. You will find my approach respectful, affirming, and gentle.
I specialize in working with contamination, order/symmetry, harm OCD, pure OCD, scrupulosity, relationship OCD, and sexual obsessions. My approach to treatment is a short-term model, usually lasting 3 to 4 months based on your functioning and response to treatment. We will have weekly sessions with frequent check-ins through a secure messaging app.
The best way to contact me for questions or to set up your first appointment is through the "e-mail me" link on this page. I am a licensed psychologist in Tennessee, but I can offer telehealth to 40 different states.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) changes your relationship with intrusive thoughts — reducing their power over your behavior without demanding you eliminate them. ERP then retrains your brain to recognize that feared outcomes are not as dangerous as OCD insists. Every exposure is graduated and designed with you. Nothing is sprung on you without preparation and consent.
