I work with adults across the lifespan who are navigating the variety of unique challenges that life presents–from depression and anxiety, to major life transitions, to serious health concerns and grief. With a background in healthcare (having worked in emergency, critical care, and hospice settings for more than 10 years), I have a particular passion for working with clients facing life challenges at the intersection of physical and mental health, whether that be coping with your own physical and/or mental illness, being a caregiver, dealing with stress and burnout, or grieving a loss.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and eclectic, tailored to the needs of each client. I believe in a balance between reflection and action in therapy. As we talk through the challenges you are facing, we work to understand and address the pain that shows up while also building on areas of strength and taking action where it will be most beneficial.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life and therapy is a tool to process and enhance the meaning of your experiences. Using narrative and metaphor, mindfulness and experiential practice, we will work together to make space for difficult feelings, heal in the places you need to, and take steps towards the life you want for yourself.
