No one is a stranger to finding a way forward in difficult times. Many of those I work with struggle with issues related to relationships, depression, and/or tragic events. At times, others come for brief, short-term treatment for issues that are not all-consuming, but to improve how they manage these and also use these difficulties to become more fully empowered. Regardless of the specific goals of therapy, our general ideal is to reach healing and wellness as well as for finding meaning and peace.
I am an independent licensed mental health counselor. I most frequently work with adult, older adolescents, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, multicultural issues, tobacco cessation, and trauma, as well as strong and challenging emotions such as anger, shame, or grief.
It can be difficult to get started on the challenging road to healing, deeper self-awareness, or wellness. Many of those who seek help have the rest of their lives running well and find difficulties in limited aspects of their personal life. Though all have different stories, all these stories are valuable and not yet completed but our starting point.
