Therapy can feel like a scary step to take. Even more it can be a struggle to just share one's needs/stories. Which is why Diego and I work with each of our Clients in making that fear go away and assisting everyone in feeling comfortable and at ease. One of the first priorities I focus on is working with that fear, that uncomfortable feeling--It Gets Better. Diego is an amazing asset to this team as he will provide comfort to those who experience anxiety during therapy. He can provide decompression for those working through trauma or those experiencing sensory challenges.
I begin my therapeutic process with the Person-Centered Approach and then use the best research based approach for each client. I use the Family Symptoms approach when working with my young population as it is important to include family dynamics. I am an EMDR Trained Clinician. I am a Certified Grief Counselor Specialist. I utilize Play and Art therapy.
I have a great passion for working with our young folks; ages 3 to 18. I utilize Play and Art Therapy. I have also worked with a diverse group of individuals and welcome anyone struggling from grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, Trauma, relationships, and impulse control disorders. I am a US Navy veteran so I welcome all Veterans.
