I believe that while nobody can go back and change the past, anyone can make a change and go in a more positive direction. It is never too late to embark on a new path. As your therapist, I will guide and assist you through a healing process that balances your emotional, mental, and spiritual being. My counseling technique is largely cognitive-behavioral, which means that that one's thought patterns contribute to feelings and behaviors, and in changing a person's thought processes, we can make improvements and achieve goals.
Many individuals who have been living with emotional issues have experienced some type of trauma in their lives. The research tells us that individuals who have experienced traumatic experiences in childhood or adulthood are more likely to experience problems with attachment, depression, anger issues, lack of self-control, and more.
My focus is to assist individuals with a wide range of emotional issues. A trauma focused approach has been proven effective in treating clients with unique needs, such as those with histories of PTSD, abuse and neglect, exposure to domestic violence, and the like.
