About
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Missouri as well as a certified DBT therapist. My professional experience has been in various settings working with teens and young adults. I have current positions in private practice, inpatient psychiatry, and in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adolescents. I've had volunteer experience at a regional crisis hotline and at a research lab studying emotional development in children. I'm a proud Eagle Scout and a current mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. My passion is in helping teens and young adults. I offer in-office visits.
Specialties: I'm a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), Certified Addictions Counselor (CAIMHP), and offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, adolescent issues, communication, addictive behaviors, depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, sleep-related issues, LGBTQ, borderline personality disorder, life skills, and self-care.
Population Focus: I work exclusively with adolescents (age 12 to 17) and young adults (age 18 to 24). I also occasionally lead adolescent therapy skills groups. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas.
