I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My approach to therapy is focused on helping you address the concerns that brought you here as efficiently as possible, so you can get back to living the life you want. My approach to therapy depends on what you need and if you are focusing on concerns from the past, present, or future. Traditionally, I begin with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and adjust to other styles based on what works for you. Some other examples of approaches I may use include DBT, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused therapy.
I work with clients who are going through a change or transition in life and help them adapt to these changes, such as graduating, moving, promoting, and relationships. I have worked with a diverse group of clients with symptoms ranging from anger, anxiety, depression, grief, substance concerns, and trauma.
In the first therapy session, I focus on three main things. First, I aim to start building a strong therapeutic relationship with you, creating a foundation of trust and understanding. Next, I work to gain insight into three key areas of your life: your relationships, your sense of self, and how you spend your time.
