My name is Isai (E-sai-EE), i’m an LCSW based in Southern California. I currently only offer online/telephone appointments. My training as a social worker focuses on individual therapy and couples therapy. My professional interests and specialities include helping people who struggle with trauma, communication issues, borderline personality disorder, autism & neurodiversity affirming care, emotional regulation, suicidal thoughts, and relationship issues. In session, I use an integrative approach and focus on exploring issues and being open and direct without while being empathetic and understanding.
I offer a calm space to talk about difficult issues, a new perspective to help better understand situations, ways to identify and understand how you might be feeling, and support and empathy about the challenges that life throws at us. As a first generation Hispanic man, I am able to understand issues that others may not.
In our first session, I like to leave it open to whatever you need. Whether it's diving right into what's bringing you into therapy, or taking some time to get to know each other and feel comfortable in the session. I know therapy can be overwhelming, so I like to make the sessions feel as comfortable as possible.
