I specialize in working with trauma. While I have a particular focus on working with issues around sexual trauma, sexuality and gender, and religious trauma, I work with trauma of all kinds. I believe that our behaviors, thoughts, physical sensations, worldviews, and ways of being are parts of us that all have stories, waiting to be heard if they are given the opportunity. Giving these parts of us care and attention builds our emotional intelligence, essential to improving not only our lives, but also the lives of those around us in our close relationships, families, and broader communities.
I am Level 1 Internal Family Systems Trained therapist, and it is the method I use to explore and heal trauma. I have seen it's power to heal deep wounds, both with my clients and in my own healing journey. I am drawn to this model because of its non-pathologizing and non-judgmental approach to exploring the difficult events my clients have walked through.
I am currently accepting individual clients over the age of 18, and can accommodate in-person or online sessions. I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming counseling, and do my best to provide a safe, secure space for your healing work to take place. I look forward to meeting you!
