My name is Isaac Wright and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I am an eclectic practitioner who enjoys utilizing different approaches that promote healing, recovery, and growth. I am a Certified Diplomate of CBT with the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. With this approach, I endeavor to help clients recognize distorted thinking, maladaptive beliefs, or unhelpful behavioral patterns that are creating or exacerbating emotional distress.
I also utilize psychodynamics, which elicits feedback and understanding about early life experiences, dynamics with primary caregivers (including but not limited to biological parents), and how these experiences subsequently impact relationships with the self and others.
I focus on treating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and post-traumatic stress. I utilize a collaborative approach and emphasize the importance of physical exercise, nutrition, and addressing health holistically. I am a firm believer in addressing treatment elements and exercises between sessions and utilizing homework frequently.
