Often, emotional recovery begins with healing long-buried childhood trauma. And I believe relief can sometimes happen as early as the first session. (Licensed in CA, TX and FL.)
I use Brainspotting, a technique developed out of EMDR, to help clients process trauma, difficult issues/symptoms and to get unstuck. I also use CBT, Somatic Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. In terms of substance use or behavioral addiction, I work with Abstinence Recovery support (12-Step, etc.) as well as a Harm Reduction approach.
