I believe that effective therapy does not necessarily have to be difficult, painful or long-term. I specialize in Collaborative, Narrative and Solution-Focused approaches to help clients overcome challenges and create solutions and change. I see individuals as truly heroic, struggling against problems rather than "having" or "being" the problem. This can allow your inherent knowledge, strengths and resources to emerge, opening new possibilities for change and growth.
I can help you improve relationships and intimacy, manage stress and anger, cope with crises and life changes, or address fears, obsessions or compulsions. We can work to overcome whatever might be causing you to feel "stuck", unhappy or hopeless.
My experience has been in school settings, clinics, a substance abuse facility and private practice. I work with individuals of all ages, couples or partners, and families. I have been an authorized provider for the California Problem Gambling Treatment Services Program, which provides state-funded treatment for gamblers and affected individuals.
