I am a licensed clinical social worker with a private psychotherapy practice in Watchung NJ. I provide therapy to adolescents and adults in a safe and supportive environment so they can make healthier life choices. In our collaborative journey together, I see each client with unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental attitude. My style is conversational and interactive. I am a change agent trained to help you explore what steps to take toward living in greater harmony and internal balance. I do not impose my values on others, but empower you to seek your own highest truth.
I utilize psycho-dynamic therapy to help you gain the insight that fosters internal growth and awareness, cognitive-behavioral therapy that will work towards understanding and modifying unhealthy core beliefs, thoughts and behaviors, and solution-focused therapy that stresses the skills you already have in order to find solutions to problems.
I also employ complementary therapy models such as art, creative writing, and dream journaling to further explore the internal process of the "self". Each modality is strengths-based and can foster a self discovery that leads to personal empowerment.
