My primary purpose is to help my clients the way I have been helped on my own healing journey. The empathy, compassion, & unconditional positive regard I feel toward my clients allows us to build a foundation of rapport & trust very easily! I feel a passionate calling to work with clients whose issues mirror the struggles & challenges that I, too, have overcome. I also see myself as a protector of children, including our inner children, to help them stay safe, feel loved and protected, and heal their wounds. Do you desire health, peace, prosperity, joy, abundance, freedom, happiness, and serenity? We can work toward all of this 4 U!

I have had the honor of working with adults/couples that have been wounded as children which can create wounded attachment patterns in their present life(s). Because these wounds can be experienced so young, an individual can be unaware of the pain and anger these unhealthy patterns bring to their present lives/relationships. The courageous adults that I have been privileged to support and help heal from situations of early trauma/abuse, whether it be inconsistent care-taking, abandonment, rejection, etc., have achieved success in facing all of life's challenges as a "whole" self versus a "partial" self.

I love seeing people grow and overcome obstacles that previously seemed insurmountable! I work with couples and adult individuals. You may seek help with your partner when you feel like you're stuck in a loop where the harder you try to work things out, the more you wind up hurting each other. You may come on your own if you've hit a rough patch and need help regaining your equilibrium. My job, as I see it, is to join you and help you unpack your thoughts and feelings with an eye toward building a brighter future.

If you have struggled with over eating for what feels like your entire life, you aren't alone! In fact, millions of people report that their relationship with food is one of the areas of their lives they would change the most if they could. What most people don't know is that your issues with food aren't really about 'the food'. People, woman in particular, who have disordered eating habits almost always struggle with anxiety, tend to have poor boundaries and people please, and have a belief system (or storyline) that is keeping them from healing past hurts or traumas, move forward, and find food freedom.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we can feel inadequate in dealing with life struggles that come our way. Sometimes we feel like we've tried everything, but for some reason we still feel stuck despite our best efforts. Although there are times in our lives when we feel great, there are also times in our lives when we feel hopeless, anxious, depressed, or even lost. Sometimes, we can pinpoint why we feel this way, and other times, these feelings seem to just come upon us for no apparent reason. Both can make life incredibly difficult.

Our Center helps anyone suffering from unresolved trauma or disturbing experiences. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, insomnia, hyper-vigilance, restlessness, rage, exhaustion, fatigue, or dissociation. We exist to alleviate the profound suffering of those who have been traumatized in childhood or adulthood. Trauma is often not healed from talk therapy alone. We use cutting edge trauma modalities that access your primitive brain where trauma is stored. Through this, you will release the trauma and all of the physical issues that go along with it, and graduate with a freedom you have never known.

I believe in working with my clients to develop collaborative goals that will allow us to utilize evidence-based, culturally-responsive and faith-based interventions, as desired. My methods incorporate both eastern and western healing interventions and always begin with a holistic life assessment. Too often clinicians work to make the symptoms feel more manageable. I like to do things differently. I work alongside my clients to discover the root causes of their struggles and witness my clients empowering themselves to unravel those unhealthy habits and replace them with healthy ones. Together we can learn how to heal and thrive.

Being a teenager is hard. Being a teenager in today’s society is exceptionally hard. The social climate has changed as the years have gone by and being born into the digital age has changed brain chemistry and altered the social climate. An aligned client for my practice includes families and individuals looking to thrive during this modern and confusing age. I help families navigate depression and anxiety as a result of toxic online culture in the age of influencers, social media and bullying. I facilitate growth through coping skills and awareness to become more resilient during this ever changing time of technology dependency

Intervention Therapists

How does an intervention work?

An intervention is a planned, structured meeting in which a person’s family or friends voice concerns about the person’s behavior and its consequences; the goal is for the person to accept treatment. In this meeting, the person’s loved ones (often with the guidance of a trained interventionist) share how the person’s behavior has harmed them and the consequences if the person refuses treatment. They collectively ask the person to accept a proposed treatment plan.

How effective are interventions?

There isn’t extensive research on the efficacy of interventions, in part because success is difficult to measure. Individuals often enter addiction treatment after an intervention, for example, but treatment itself may not work, especially if the person only begins due to external pressure from others rather than due to internal motivation to change. However, if all other attempts at helping someone have failed, an intervention may be worth exploring.

What are the limitations of interventions?

While a friend or family member’s intentions are in the right place in wanting to help a loved one through an intervention, there are significant limitations to the approach. The surprising nature of the event can make the person feel ambushed or judged. They may feel embarrassed or ashamed as a result, and relationships may be strained or broken. This can make it difficult for the individual to be receptive to the concerns of their loved ones and the interventionist.

Are there alternatives to interventions?

Rather than confronting a loved one through an intervention, an effective and less pressured approach is to create space for a caring, open, one-on-one conversation. This works best if the loved one asks open-ended questions, listens attentively to the answers, and frames their observations and statements with concern rather than judgment. More than one conversation may be needed, but change can take root over time.
