I have 24 years of experience in working with adults and adolescents who present with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity issues, trauma, parenting issues, family conflict, and relationship difficulties. I work with clients to understand the root of their current difficulties, and to help them develop the insight that they will need to avoid repeating problematic patterns. I meet the client where he/she is at to work on the issues that both feel most relevant and also interfere most with their enjoyment of life. There is a dual focus on symptom relief and on building introspection and self-esteem.
I have a specialty in working with infertility and adoption including individuals and couples who are making family planning decisions, and also adoptees who are processing their identity. I also have experience with couples who are working through infidelity. Lastly I have a specialty in working with teens on social, familial, academic, and identity issues.
In treating couples I have worked with infertility, Interfaith issues, couples navigating their child's learning differences, adoption related issues, parenting differences, and couples dealing with infidelity. In my work with individuals I work with a wide range of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, family and identity issues.
