In addition to conducting psychological evaluations, I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy to adults, college students, adolescents, and children. Some of the issues I work with include depression, anxiety, life changes, mood disorders, and relationship problems. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ population and treat clients from all walks of life.

I provide individual and group psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. My work with children is specific to gender identity. My clinical work is focused on eating disorders, gender identity, LGBTQQ+ concerns, multicultural counseling, survivors of sexualized violence and trauma. I work with clients through a social justice and holistic health lens that emphasizes the inseparable connection between our mind, body, and environment. My approach to therapy is strength-based and client centered rooted in cultural humility. I incorporate mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based techniques depending upon the goals of each client.

My priority is to treat each person with compassion, respect and kindness. I strive to help my clients to get to the root of their challenges to make lasting changes in their lives and to help them help themselves over a lifetime. I believe it is never too late to accomplish your life goals.

It takes strength to seek help. My goal is to build a safe, non-judgmental environment, where we can explore and find insight together. In therapy, I enjoy working with clients to explore their inner worlds to build self resiliency. In particular, I have an interest in perinatal mood disorders such as postpartum depression and have conducted research in this area. Mostly, I work with adults and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression and/or dealing with trauma.

I would be honored to be that psychologist. I am a generalist and have worked with the full spectrum of adult and older adolescent diagnoses. That said, I am most skilled in working with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Relationship Issues, Personality Disorders, Existential Crises, and Personal Growth. I am also developing an emerging expertise in Long COVID related anxiety, depression, and cognitive disruption.

Allie VanSickle, LLMSW takes an open-minded, sincere, validating, and direct approach to treatment. Allie believes the individual is the expert on their own lives and takes a holistic approach to supporting the individual's growth. Allie works collaboratively with clients and allows the individual's comfort/readiness to guide the therapeutic process. Allie specializes in assisting those struggling with eating disorders, OCD, and/or attachment issues. Allie also focuses on empowering the positive development of children, youth, and families, particularly those involved with the foster care system.

I'm Lauren, a clinical psychotherapist who believes strongly in the importance of establishing identity affirmative work and developing healthy communication within one’s self and their family unit. Experiences from my own childhood helped me identify my life’s mission to empower children and adolescents from all backgrounds to discover and explore their own life goals. A passion of mine is working with LGBTQ youth and their families. I meet clients where they are at in life with genuine acceptance, and I encourage them to express and validate their feelings, perspective, values and identity.

Sharon has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Family Life/Human Sexuality from Central Michigan University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. She completed a supervised clinical training program at the Loyola University Outpatient Sexual Dysfunction Clinic, holds a certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan and is an AASECT certified sex therapist (The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists), which includes over 200 hours of post-graduate education and consultation.

Life can be complicated. These complications know no economic, age, sex, religious, or racial boundary. As a practitioner working with individuals to empower them is my passion and privilege.
