Since each individual is unique, there isn't a "one size fits all" approach to counseling. Theoretically, I lean towards an Integrative Approach by utilizing Adlerian, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavior Therapies. I see clients with a range of psychological issues, such as anxiety, depression, stress, anger, deconstructing painful religious history or background. Most of my clients are adults ranging from 20 to 80+. I am a Clinical Psychologist with advanced training in psychopharmacology or psychiatric medication management. This allows me to practice psychotherapy and also evaluate, educate and suggest medications that may be helpful in your treatment. If medication is appropriate most of my clients do not see a psychiatrist, they usually return to their family physician for their medication needs. Many take less medication over time.
