At Rock Your Family, my team and I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families work through challenging issues in their communication and in their interpersonal dynamics. I specializing in working with women, children, non-binary inciduals, survivors of interpersonal violence, and sexual trauma. I also have experience treating couples, supporting people navigating grief, major life changes, depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 23 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, children, and teens. I utilize cognitive skills(CBT), dialectical behavior skills (DBT), mindfulness practices (MCBT), and other interpersonal therapy skills to help clients develop strategies to better regulate emotions, tolerate and work through emotional distress, confront and change faulty thinking patterns, develop more functional boundaries and communication patterns to have more effective relationships, and work through loss, abuse, and other traumas by increasing their coping strategies.

We are significantly shaped by the treatment we receive from others and the negative impact that painful relationships and experiences have on us. Your healing involves taking your power back from those experiences and learning how to trust your own instincts and intuition. With this, my lens focuses on interpersonal trauma and attachment injuries.

I believe in helping people put the pieces back together. I specialize in trauma issues, self esteem, depression, sex addiction and sexual trauma. Often trauma has a long lasting, but unknown effect on people. Resolving trauma leads to previously unknown levels of fulfillment. When a persons self-esteem is well functioning, their relationships often are also connected and intimate. Sexual addiction is treated in a stigma-free manner. I treat my clients with dignity throughout the process and facilitate a shame-free recovery.

As the Owner, Executive Clinical director, and parent to a child with “specialized needs”, Christie understands how important a whole-child approach is when working with children. She believes wholeheartedly, that whole parents raise whole kids! Therefore, so much of what she provides, serves parents too! Her facility, Whole Kids Co. is a multi-disciplinary Counseling and Autism Center. It serves children, teens, and college-aged kids (and their parents too!) through: testing, counseling, ABA, OT, PT, Speech, social groups, nutritional/wellness training, parent training/therapy, and educational advocacy.
