My passion is treating clients who have endured trauma. I'm trained in EMDR. I combine EMDR with narrative therapy to help clients resolve and reprocess the traumatic event. I love working with clients who suffer from depression, bipolar, and personality disorders. I also work with couples and families who are in crisis. I am also endorsed by the American Psychotherapy Association as a Board Certified Professional Counselor.

My name is Iesha Anderson. I was born and raised in Houston, TX and graduated from Prairie View A&M University. I also attended Texas Southern University with a Bachelors in Psychology. Academics were a very important part of my life. I realized at an early age that education was vital to my future success in life and the life of others. I have always had a passion for counseling and helping since the first day I sat in my psychology course during my journey in undergraduate school. My experience in Real Estate, taxes, customer service, and mental health has equipped me with the ability to relate and understand where others are coming from. I have always had a passion for special populations and was blessed to find a career that combined my love for both, families and individuals.

I am a native Texan who has lived and worked in the Houston area most of my career. I have a background in mental health providing services to individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief any issues which cause distress.

I have a passion for counseling people of all ages who are ready to begin the process of healing. I approach therapy from a biological, psychological, social and spiritual viewpoint. Within themselves, each person has the power and strength to tackle the challenges and difficulties they face. It’s my job, as a clinician, to help them access that power and strength, and I do this by first providing a non-judgmental and positive environment. This allows us to identify the thoughts and perceptions that are influencing their actions, both positive and negative. Real, affirming change can happen when we openly examine the thinking that is holding us back and work to change those thoughts that are no longer servicing our goals.
