I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) providing individual, couples and group therapy. For the past 25 years, I have helped people improve their emotional well-being, strengthen their recovery from addictions and trauma, and build healthy, fulfilling relationships. My clinical specialties include the treatment of anxiety, depression, addictions, sexual compulsivity and PTSD.

Bucks Support Services, located in Newtown and Buckingham, PA, is comprised of three speciality branches; Bucks Eating Support Collaborative, Bucks LGBTQ Center and Bucks Recovery Center. In addition to those speciality areas, we treat a wide array of psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, family/support system and relationship issues, adjustment disorders, and disorders of childhood, among others.

I believe that every individual has the capacity to develop a full life based on healthy communication and utilizing their strengths. I have a passion for working with clients processing trauma. My second passion is couples counseling. I base my couples work on methods from The Couples Institute, which is a worldwide model for extensive couples' therapy.

Although feeling anxious is a natural response to stress, sometimes it can become so intense it effects your daily life. Often times depression can accompany anxiety becoming debilitating where you can no longer think clearly or enjoy the things you once did. Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and/or addiction? My ideal client is open to gaining insight into behavior patterns and problematic coping skills. I am kind & non-judgmental, but not afraid to give clients a little (figurative) nudge when necessary. I have experience working with all kinds of problems & diagnoses, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as individual and group settings. The majority of my experience lies in dual diagnosis treatment, working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses.

With an orientation toward helping clients grow, I assist them in identifying and removing the obstacles that keep them stuck. I focus on individuals, couples and families impacted by addiction. Based on client need, I employ a versatile blend of support, respectful confrontation, sometimes even humor, combined with Twelve Step approaches of acceptance of reality, personal insight and spiritual development. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT). Trained as an Interventionist, I also prepare and collaborate with families and organizations in conducting interventions with a person experiencing behavioral problems.

With 23 years of clinical experience in pediatric and adult clinical medical psychology, I value addressing psychological wellness through a comprehensive systems approach. My therapeutic training is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).I believe each client plays an active role in their customized treatment to address their concerns, expand insight and achieve desired goals. I work with all gender clients, 13yrs and up. As men and women, young and old, we are multitaskers, we take care of others while neglecting ourselves. Self-care-self-love is foreign.
