I've been counseling men and couples for over 40 years. My specialties are men with compulsive/addictive sexual behaviors, unresolved childhood abuse/trauma/neglect, anxiety/depression, relationship problems and intimacy issues. I also do couple's therapy teaching and helping couples in good communication and conflict management and how to heal from infidelity. Cornerstone has 5 outpatient treatment groups for men with sexual addiction. When you are struggling with difficult life issues, it can be difficult to go it alone. I am here to provide support as you move through it. I work with individuals and couples in areas including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions and stress management. As someone who has personally engaged in mindfulness practices such as meditation, qigong and yoga for 20+ years, I bring a strong presence and compassion to my work with clients.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help people improve their mental health. I believe that each person deserves treatment tailored to their experience and needs. In session, I help people change patterns of unhealthy thoughts or behaviors and examine meaning of life experiences. As a counselor, I am open-minded, analytical, and casual while allowing space for challenging clients to improve their lives. I practice from an informed consent perspective aimed at reducing barriers to care and emphasizing bodily autonomy. This often involves writing letters of support for medical transition services.

I am accepting new referrals using telehealth now. I am especially looking for patients who are concerned about compulsive sexual behavior. I really enjoy working with motivated clients who are seeking help to resolve problems in their life. Some things are simple but other things are quite complex.
