I have extensive experience helping clients work through trauma, improve communication skills, decrease stress, and build additional coping strategies in order to improve their current quality of life. I have been fortunate to be part of each client's journey, and have heard so many report positive benefits of therapy. My goal is to provide unconditional positive regard for my clients and to provide attentive, specialized therapeutic services. The past is in the present and the body remembers. With you guiding the sessions, I help you identify your earliest coping mechanisms so you can gain insight into why you have difficulties in the present. We can engage in "talk therapy" or I can use my skills and training in EMDR therapy to help you heal past trauma and to prepare for a brighter future! I have added two more therapist to the business. We have an Autism Support Group and a Soldier Support Group. If we can't help you, we will find someone who can.

I became a therapist because therapy changed my life. Experiencing mental illness was a struggle, caused emotional suffering, but lead me to reach out for help. The support I found brought solace and healing, and eventually opened doors that led to becoming a therapist. It is such meaningful experience to reach those who are now where I once was. Over the years I had opportunities to work in many settings, including medical and mental health hospitals, intensive outpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers, and now private practice.

I am accepting new clients as of April 1, 2024. With over 30 years working in this field, I am adept at working with people experiencing a range of challenges in their lives. Expert in helping those struggling with life’s losses, traumas, and unexpected or expected changes. Specialization in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, as well as bipolar disorders and psychosis type experiences. I hold LCSW licensure in both Georgia and NY states, enabling me to offer telehealth sessions to people in both states. Clinical supervision for LCSW and LPC candidates also provided.

I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Many of my clients have more than one psychological issue, such as Depression/Mood issues, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Tourette's, Social Skill deficits, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and Relationship difficulties.

For my ideal patient, issues pertaining to depression, anxiety, hopelessness, low self esteem, negative/low mindset, lack of self confidence as well as unwillingness to learn/be teachable are some factors that militates against an individual's progress.
