Samantha was raised in New Hampshire, and recently moved to Colorado from South Carolina where she received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She also received her BA degree in Psychology from Winthrop University in South Carolina. Samantha is also pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado.

I currently specialize in providing evidence-based and trauma-focused psychotherapy to adults, couples, and teenagers in order to strengthen resiliency, promote stability in the home, and improve family functioning. I have extensive experience working with adults with depressive or anxiety issues, couples, behavioral issues, LGBT issues, and school-based issues. I work directly with individuals to ensure that even the most challenging or threatening behaviors can be managed.

My approach begins with the belief that the human experience is to know both joy and pain, & every variation of emotion in-between, often in the same moment. I believe that which has been wounded in relationship must be healed in relationship. In order for your true self to emerge it must be witnessed. Just as our deepest glory must be held, so too must our wounds. In these places we will engage a posture of curiosity of how those wounds have impacted your style of relating and the ways you have had to adapt to cope.

Since 1991 our therapists have provided therapy to a diverse population of clients. We use evidence-based therapies to treat a wide range of individual, couple, and family issues. Our fees are on a sliding scale ranging from $25-$85. Our therapy is brief, strengths-based, and solution-focused. When you call, we will conduct a brief phone intake and schedule your first appointment. Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions are available for your convenience. We welcome all clients regardless of race, gender, class, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, ability, family form, relational status, religion or presenting problem.

The problems we struggle with seek to define and marginalize our identities as humans. The power that various problems seek to have in our lives can leave us feeling lost, helpless, and alone. My goal is to join you in this process and support the creation of a new identity, where the problem no longer gets to hold the mirror from which our own reflections are seen.
