What constitutes a traumatic event is a very personal experience. Often it isn’t until you are in therapy that you discover the full implications and impact on the quality of your life. The footprint of trauma can show itself as difficulty at work, unhealthy relationship patterns, anxiety, depression, or a lack of sleep. It can also be the total and complete interruption of your life. What you may think is anxiety or depression could be early trauma or developmental trauma. It can also be complex trauma created after multiple events and experiences. It is never what's wrong with you but what's happened to you!

Doctor Willyerd graduated from Arizona State University with a doctorate in behavioral health in 2011. prior to that he had a masters degree in counseling in 2009. Since then his professional career has taken him into helping many at risk individuals such as sex offender youth, children with severe childhood trauma, families with fragile home life and structure, prisoners in the prison system and on suicide watch and prisoners having severe psychotic episodes.

As a therapist of 20 years, I am committed to providing quality therapy to meet your needs with a personalized, solution-focused approach. I have extensive experience working with adults as well as families of children and adolescents that exhibit emotional and behavioral concerns, including the treatment of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, academic underachievement, OCD, depression, interpersonal relationship issues, screen addiction, entitlement, low self-esteem, substance use disorders, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) as well as stress management for student athletes. Jackie Hansberger obtained her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University in 2016. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Capella University in 2021. She is currently a Temporary Licensed Psychologist under the supervision of Dr. Davis.

My therapeutic approaches I use include supportive counseling, person-centered, strengths-based, CBT, DBT and trauma informed. I am a gender affirming therapist.
