I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals cope with stress, loss, fear, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjustment to life changes. I work collaboratively with clients to establish a trusting and supportive relationship, set goals for therapy, build upon strengths to increase confidence and self-esteem, and work toward resolving issues.

The Koch Center (located in Montclair, Morristown, Waldwick, & Englewood) specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Therapy and Programs for Adults, Adolescents, Children, and Families. Our DBT Programs offer an opportunity to receive extensive support and expert treatment in an outpatient setting. We treat the full range of psychological issues (including Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Impulse Control disorders, Eating Disorders, Trauma, Relationship Problems, Personality Disorders). We have an outpatient Trauma Program for Adults. We also offer individual therapy from varying theoretical orientations.

I have worked extensively with adults and adolescents for over 30 years and have a good understanding of childhood issues.I work with individuals and families with a focus on emotions.I believe that all people have resources to solve problems.I am easy to talk to and I have great listening skills.I have worked with individuals who are depressed and with adolescents in public education with great success I also have an extensive background in substance abuse and am certified to work with clients on Suboxone (Buprenorphine) for treatment of opiate addiction.

Inevitably we all encounter profound disappointments and trauma in our life-time. The resulting pain which lingers, may cause physical or emotional symptoms such as confusion, excessive anger, fear, anxiety, and/or depression. Such symptoms make achieving one's life's goals difficult. The goal of psychotherapy is to relieve these debilitating symptoms. Working with adult individuals, I create an environment that facilitates an honest and open exchange between patient and therapist. My goal is to identify the source of symptoms and to increase my patient's quality of life by restoring a sense of balance of body and mind.

Most every appointment is available and is as effective by phone or video chat (Zoom or FaceTime), and can further be more expeditiously scheduled these ways. The Integrative Therapy Institute of New Jersey (ITI-NJ) is a group practice in clinical and counseling psychology that provides psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families. I am a Licensed Social Worker in New York and New Jersey, and graduated from Fordham University where I earned my master’s degree in social work. I am passionate about helping my clients get to know and navigate their inner world. I work with individuals who have struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, I enjoy couples work, focusing on communication, negative patterns in relational conflict, and issues of infidelity. I decided to go back to school to earn my doctoral degree in social work at Capella University.

My experience lies in helping clients (children, adolescents, adults) navigate mental health and wellness concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, social anxiety & fear, anger management issues, life transitions, family and relationship issues, parenting skills, academic & career motivation, oppositional behavior, etc. I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities (CBT & DBT) while incorporating a person-centered approach that borrows from existential and spiritual wellness philosophies. I specialize in working with clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ community, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
