**Unfortunately I am not currently taking family cases due to COVID. *March 2021 FULL* My primary strengths are working with 1. couples 2. family members who have been affected by addiction and 3. teenagers struggling with anxiety and depression. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, internal family systems theory--the idea that our learned beliefs about ourselves and the world determine how we react to stress. I base my family addictions work on Melody Beattie's Co-Dependent No More philosophy. I also very much enjoy working with couples, but I am not a referee. Your relationship is the client in the room that is looking to heal (your relationship's strengths, needs, and communication styles).

I focus on working with couples and individual adults who are dealing with trauma, identity/cultural issues, depression, anxiety, or past trauma (such as abuse, neglect, or separation from, or loss of, loved ones). I can help you excavate your past trauma in a way that helps you understand it, and how it may be impacting what is going on with you in the present moment so you can feel more in control of your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and your relationships. At times, we find ourselves in seasons of life where we may feel disoriented and easily overwhelmed. We can begin questioning ourselves and wondering if we’ve chartered off course or lost our way. During challenging times, it can be easy to feel overburdened by heavy emotions, intrusive thoughts, and the simple tasks of everyday life. Navigating relationships, careers, finances, and other responsibilities can pile up and take their toll on our well-being.

Wellness is more than an absence of problems; it is an experience of living life to the fullest. Recognizing that the resources for healing and negotiating interpersonal conflicts already exist within us, I rely on a sensitive understanding of each individual and the unique abilities they can further develop to achieve their goals.

My practice is currently FULL with a wait list that is about 2-3 months long. Are you not feeling quite like yourself? TELETHERAPY is here! We offer hope, education and treatment to people in all phases of decision making around substance use or other problematic behaviors. Education on reducing anxiety, stress and building confidence and harmony. Services include: substance abuse/recovery groups & Individual sessions to adults & teens; 36-week Domestic Violence court approved program; Anger Management Program (heavily based in mindfulness/Buddhist concepts of letting go and Acceptance Commitment Therapy). We also provide court ordered anger mngmnt, domestic violence and substance use disorder evaluations. We are an IDSP Provider for DWI aftercare.
