I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems/Parts-Work to support my clients in not only unpacking their stories, but restructuring and modifying their paths going forward.
It can feel extremely discouraging when you look at your partner and feel like the spark or flame that brought you together is now dwindling. We find ourselves in patterns that have become comfortable or too familiar and don't know how to break out of them. Often times we don't know where to begin when creating relationship goals and increasing the connection we once felt with one another. Our therapy space is one where curiosity and authenticity are inherently invited. Together, we make sense of all the moments, interactions, traumas, narratives, and experiences that shaped your relationship and find a new normal.

My specific expertise is drawn from IFS, CBT, DBT, and ACT.
I work with folks who are seeking a stronger sense of self-trust, ease, and ability to be connected and present in their life, hobbies, and relationships. Whether you are seeking to understand yourself, develop tools for managing stress, or align decisions with your values, you don't have to do it alone. Maybe you understand some of your patterns and past hurts, but still feel frustrated with what to do about them. Maybe life is changing and you need stability and a listening ear. I believe that self-compassion and acceptance paired with supportive relationships creates a more fulfilling life (with a little humor along the way)!

My background is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, and Integrative Problem-centered Therapy, which allows for a versatile approach to developing personalized care.
I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families get "unstuck" from challenging relationship dynamics. I walk alongside clients as they navigate major and minor life transitions and the shift in identity that often accompanies these milestone moments. I provide support during the highs and lows. I recognize that while people may be able to handle it all on their own, they should not have to do it all by themselves. I help to empower adults and adolescents as they adjust to change and learn to embrace new skills and new perspectives on themselves and their relationships with others.

5) While therapy has always been my calling, it has not always been my work, so I come with wide-ranging life and career experience; 6) I value diversity and welcome discomfort; 7) Trauma is a major interest of mine and I have done advanced training in it, including completing Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems.
To help simplify the search you’re doing right now, here is me in brief: 1) I see adults individually and in couples; 2) My clients appreciate my warmth, kindness and humor; 3) I pay attention to you as a whole person—mind, body, emotions and spirit; 4) I believe you are completely acceptable as you are and also that change is possible.

Drawing on Internal Family Systems, we will explore your inner world through embodied mindfulness, dialogue, and imagination.
Hi! I work with people longing for more clarity, self-trust, self-worth, balance, joy, intimacy, body acceptance, and self-compassion. Often my clients have an idea of what they need, but struggle to connect knowledge to action and embodiment. They may feel overwhelmed by relationships, responsibilities, and/or expectations, and want help staying true to themselves amidst life's demands. They may have strained relationships with their bodies, and long for more ease. I welcome people across the neurodivergent spectrum. My work is trauma-informed & culturally-humble, so I will take time to get to know your unique story.

If you feel like anxiety, pressure, or shame are getting in the way of feeling confident and at peace in your body, then please reach out. There is a reason you are struggling now, and together we will explore and give voice to your whole self as a way for you to recognize your inherent worth.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
