As someone who is dedicated to personal growth and emotional well-being, I provide support to children, adults, and families facing a diverse range of challenges, including trauma and attachment, stress and anxiety, eating disorders, depression, grief and loss, LGBTQ issues, parenting, and relationship dynamics.

I am a therapist with deep training in trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, couples and families from all backgrounds and orientations. Self improvement is brave work! I became a Licensed Professional Counselor after over 35 years as a healthcare professional. I wanted to understand the mind-body reciprocal interactions and the power of the unconscious mind. If mental and/or physical suffering has left you feeling isolated, betrayed, and exhausted you may believe there is no way out. If you feel stuck at every turn, you are in paradox. Being in paradox is an indication that you are facing a profound opportunity to become your authentic self. If you are willing to take the deep journey into you, I am not afraid. I believe we each possess our own deep wisdom, a vibrant inner Self that is healthy and whole, and has the answers to even our most troubling problems – things like depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, eating issues, or maybe just life feeling out of control. I employ Coherence Therapy (I have been Assistant Director of Training at the Coherence Psychology Institute since 2014), Internal Family Systems, and Comprehensive Resource Model. All three are experiential, so we can address your problems as directly and quickly as feels right for you. Change can often happen in the very first session.

Susannah Smith, Ph.D., is an Executive Coach, Systems Consultant, and Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, with active licenses in Colorado, California, Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana. She is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Smith graduated with honors from Vassar College in Social Psychology; completed her M.S. in Clinical Psychology at San Jose State University in California; and received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, with a double emphasis in clinical psychology and organizational development consulting. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist.
