It is because I believe this that I create a personalized approach by integrating Art, Narrative, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Attachment-Based interventions to fit each clients individual needs.
"We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to."-Brene Brown. I whole heartedly believe that healing occurs when we invite others to step into our story and walk along side us in times of struggle, hurt, and unknown. Because of this, I consider it an honor and privilege to be able to join you in your search for healing and wholeness. Although I am equipped to work with individuals in any stage of life I am especially passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults struggling with anything from anxiety and depression to trauma and self discovery.

I use somatic EMDR, internal family systems (parts work), and attachment-based therapy to help you heal.
Are you ready to break down that wall and finally connect to the world around you? To live without painful memories and emotional flashbacks? Trauma - especially complex trauma - affects everything: your humanity, your identity, your ability to thrive. My clients often experience a negative self-image, depression, severe emotional ups and downs, and a near-constant sense of dread. Worst of all, they feel like they don’t know themselves and can’t relate to other people. This is not surprising considering my clients usually have a history of childhood abuse and/or neglect exacerbated by boundary violations in adulthood.

Drawing from my experience in somatic-based therapies, Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, and Brainspotting, we are able to address deeper patterns that leave you feeling stuck.
Do you find yourself caught in a loop of always trying hard but never feeling like enough? Do you hear your inner voice overthinking and being critical far too often? Maybe you can recall anxiousness or concern from a young age and struggle to feel truly connected to others. Changing these ways may feel impossible and stepping out of these patterns can seem daunting but you may feel that little revolt within to break away from these cycles. That part boldly dreams of a new era filled with confidence, genuine connections, and healing.

I have a passion for treating trauma, utilizing EMDR and IFS in my approach.
I believe that we are all born on this planet as whole, worthy human beings. I also believe that our various lived experiences — including trauma in all its forms — can have a big impact on our beliefs about ourselves and the ways we show up in the world. As a therapist, my goal is to help you get back in touch with your most authentic Self and uncover whatever it is that's preventing you from living your most joyful life. I work from a person-centered, collaborative, and integrative perspective, offering a non-judgmental space for clients to explore all parts of themselves.

I work primarily from the IFS model, or a "parts work" approach.
It is your right as a human being to have fruitful, loving, and supportive relationships with others and yourself. Often, we are brought out of alignment with this truth. We come to believe that we are not deserving of love and kindness or that others are incapable of giving us these things. Therapy provides a connected space for us to explore our needs & desires, our fears & hopes. I work mostly with: LGBTQ+, non-monogamy and polyamory, relationship work, conflict resolution, gender identity and transition, queer clients, infidelity & affairs, sex and intimacy, gender-affirming care referral letters.

Experiences of anxiety, depression, and trauma take a massive toll on our lives and relationships, often leaving us feeling out of control, disconnected, and dissatisfied. However, I believe that healing is not only possible, but is something that we are naturally moving toward, even when it doesn't feel that way. As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can reconnect to that natural impulse toward healing.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
