I also lean into various therapy modalities (CBT, IFS) to help individuals struggling with; depression/anxiety, eating habits, impulse control, low self-esteem, and trauma.
My passion lies in collaborating with young adults, families, and women in a transition of life. Clients often turn to me for support and guidance during periods of heightened stress, or at point of overwhelm for ongoing challenges. They want new coping skills and effective communication strategies to acquire sustained peace. Together, we set goals, and gradually integrate aligned supportive behaviors into their life, or view of self. We do so at the pace needed to ensure these new strategies become familiar and effective tools of change for the client.

We move towards change by utilizing an integrative model through a relational approach using evidence based techniques from the following theories including: CBT, DBT, TFCBT, IFS.
Welcome to Whole Integration Therapy! I'm Emily Walton, and I am a Licensed Clinicial Professional Counselor (LPCC). I work from a Relational approach to understand how your past is impacting your present. Working together, we can try new ways of relating in a safe and confidential space. While it is beneficial to work beyond the past, we must first know what we are working with. Once known, we move into targeted skills that focus on boundary development, interpersonal skills, communication, challenging unhelpful thoughts, self esteem/self concept/self identity, secure attachment within the therapeutic relationship.

I often incorporate mindfulness, CBT, DBT, ACT, and IFS strategies to help you develop effective coping skills and foster a sense of self-compassion.
Hi there! Thank you for being here, and congrats on taking the first steps towards healing and self-discovery! I'm here to work with and support you through life's ever evolving challenges through curiosity, compassion, and empathy. I believe that our early significant relationships, as well as difficult situations in the past play a role in the way we navigate issues in the present. I aim for therapy to be a warm and welcoming space where you can feel at ease discussing these experiences.

Are you exhausted from being hyper-independent, a perfectionist, workaholic, and feeling like you can’t rely on anyone else? I work with high achievers who are battling feelings of inadequacy, anxiety and overthinking. I use EMDR and IFS approaches to help you address anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment and relationship issues. Are you ready to take control of your life, uncover self-love, live authentically and find balance? As a survivor of the Las Vegas shooting I know first hand what it takes to heal through unthinkable events. Trauma does not need to be a life sentence and healing is absolutely possible.

My therapeutic approach tends to be eclectic, pulling from various Psychodynamic theoretical frameworks including Internal Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, as well as DBT and CBT.
Sharing our inner experiences with someone can often feel frightening, which is exactly why I place such an importance on connection and acceptance in the therapeutic process. I aim to create a safe environment that will invite my clients to delve deeper into their personal narrative, as I truly believe we are not built to process emotions alone. As humans, we all have a propensity to grow and become our true selves, unfortunately we aren’t always gifted with the circumstances to allow it. I am passionate about creating a space for not only self-discovery and self acceptance, but to allow clients to feel seen, heard, and valued.

I specialize in experiential therapy using methods of somatic therapy, mindfulness, expressive arts, role play, parts work (IFS), visualization and meditation.
Sitting with oneself, whether in individual, couple or family therapy, is not easy and I see my clients as courageous and hopeful for taking this step. Sometimes therapy is healing and transformational, other times it is simply a space to take some deep breaths. Either way, my practice is always client-centered and compassion-based, being present with you in whatever space you are in. My hope in working with me is that you develop a sense of self-compassion and a strength-based lens to view yourself and your relationships through.

I work from a trauma focused lens and rely a lot on Internal Family Systems, EMDR and Gottman Relationship modalities.
Sometimes our best life can feel out of reach. A part of us feels stuck in cognitive or relational patterns that served us at one time, but do not serve us well anymore. We want to make some changes, but we find ourselves stuck. Poet Mary Oliver asked the question, "What will you do with this one wild and precious life?" I'm here to listen as you figure out how you want to answer this question, and to witness the work you need to do to get there. Our best selves, living our best lives, are within reach.

Let me help you process core negative beliefs and patterns to alleviate anxiety, depression, & stressful negative emotions using EMDR (a big “T” and little “t” trauma modality), IFS (a framework to bring awareness to different parts of yourself), and emotion-focused approaches to cultivate compassion toward the part of you that needs it most.
I’m Hayley, an AMFT, experienced in working with individuals and couples. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, high-achievement, hyper-independence, or trauma. They may notice a pattern of not feeling good enough, adequate, or worthy no matter how hard they try. This tends to impact their ability to rely on others, feel connected in their relationships, or authentically connect to themselves. Often my couples feel stuck in miscommunication, conflict, and disconnection. They feel alone even when together, angry, or perhaps sad that their relationship isn't what they imagined. Don't worry, there's hope.

I rely heavily on Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), and also provide Discernment Counseling.
I help couples and individuals explore how our past experiences influence our current behaviors and relationships. I believe that a deeper understanding of the connection between past and present builds compassion for ourselves and our partners, gives us greater insight into our relational patterns, and fosters self-awareness and change. I use a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach to help couples rebuild intimacy, connection, and trust, and to help individuals heal past traumas and work to meet personal and relational goals.

My approach is informed by the Internal Family Systems model, Buddhism, attachment theory, and neuroscience.
You might have an idea of how you'd like things to be different, but need a little help with knowing how to change. Maybe you are experiencing negative thoughts and overwhelming feelings, perhaps struggling to enjoy your relationships or are burning yourself out at work. You'd like to feel more at ease with yourself, more self-assured, and better able to get through a day with optimism about the future. It's easy to get stuck in certain mental, emotional, or behavioral patterns, and together we can untangle what is holding those patterns in place.

I weave together my clinical training including EMDR, IFS (IFS Informed) and somatic therapies with approaches including breath work, and energy work to help you reach your goals.
Are you struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, or just feel disconnected in your life? Do you feel sometimes like you are "too much" or misunderstood in your relationships? If you have experienced trauma, traditional talk therapy is often not enough for creating lasting change. A holistic, integrated approach allows you to tap into the body's innate wisdom. I assist individuals and couples in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship problems, sexuality, boundaries, self-esteem, spiritual and existential questions.

Helping and guiding those who have experienced trauma, including the trauma of being in narcissistic or other toxic and antagonoistic relationships, is my focus as a therpaist. My training, skills, and tools are honed to help people heal from these experiences. With the use of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), extensive training to treat all levels of dissociation (including DID), and regulating the nervous system to a more calm state, I can help my clients to manage the day to day much more effectively and start to live with more peace in their bodies and their lives.

Clients who might have PTSD symptoms such as flashbacks or nightmares, triggers and problems with trust. Clients who have consistently formed bad relationships and unhealthy attachments.

I'm a Level 1 trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist via the IFS institute.
Often my clients have been in traditional talk therapy but something still felt missing or unaddressed. They come to me looking to deepen their mental and emotional well being with something more. Most of my clients struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, and/or boundary setting. Nearly all of my clients have experienced something in their lives that's left them changed in some way such as unhealthy romantic relationships, chronic illness, or a traumatic childhood.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
