I specialize in helping my clients identify negative patterns or behaviors in their life preventing them from being able to live up to their full potential and achieve their goals. I am passionate about helping people who are facing obstacles in communicating with family, friends, or are having trouble having basic interactions in their daily functioning out in the community. I help people develop healthy boundaries and work towards cultivating a greater sense of awareness of their individual wants and needs. Painful feelings and life experiences are difficult to work through alone. Therapy can provide the time and space for support and positive growth. Compassion for those who are struggling emotionally and trust in the innate resiliency of the body/mind are the basic tenants that inform my practice. I utilize a non-judgmental, compassionate and collaborative approaches in therapy to support clients in addressing their life, relationships and the challenges they face. As part of the therapeutic process, I may use several techniques including art, sand tray, role-play, mindfulness practices, play therapy approaches and activities to work on at home.
