Relief is about growth, and growth is about roots and repair. We'll utilize IFS, EMDR, sand tray, and talk therapy to discover the roots of your symptoms (ie., panic attacks, depression, insomnia) and how to heal them. Every person is different and together we'll discover the tools that work best with the way you think and emotionally process, working within a life-coaching model rather than focusing on diagnosis. I have been providing counseling services since 2011, completed EMDR training in 2017, and have received over 100 hours of continued education in Internal Family Systems. 60 or 90 minute sessions available, $150/ $200.

A few of the approaches I use are EMDR, Trauma Focused-CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Prolonged Exposure.
I am a seasoned therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals, and couples, cope with things that have happened to them beyond their control. People work with me when they have experienced an event, or time in their life, that is keeping them stuck and impacting other areas of their life. My passion is working with Trauma (both acute and complex), PTSD, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Family Abuse. Feeling broken, hurt, guilty, embarrassed, or afraid can be so heavy to carry around. We can stop the triggers, the new fears, reduce shame, and get back in touch with the good parts of what life was like 'before'.

I take an integrative approach, using process based treatments to guide our work together, including DBT, ACT, IFS and a whole lot of humor.
You may be finding yourself stuck... Stuck dealing with the same old relationship issues, perhaps fumbling time and time again, trying to find the career path right for you, or maybe plain stuck struggling to get out of bed in the morning. For one reason or another you may be struggling with your identity, or are having trouble confidently embracing You wholly. You want to live a life of meaning, but all this stuff is just getting in the way, and it’s suffocating. It’s causing crippling anxiety and depression, difficulty sleeping, and you just can’t focus when you need to.

These can be healed and addressed with counseling while learning how to appropriately manage emotions through effective coping and healing of past traumas. EMDR is a form of treatment that allows the body to heal by eliminating the impact of negative beliefs from unresolved trauma and emotional distress. Utilizing modalities EMDR, Hypnotherapy, somatic processing, IFS, intuitive listening, and mindfulness will empower you to gain mind/body/spirit connection, and gain tools for life to help regulate emotions and be your best self!.
Are fears getting in your way? Behind your fears are desires- desires for pursuit of your dreams, career, relationships, fulfillment and success. But something is getting in the way. It might be past experiences, losses, unprocessed feelings or limiting beliefs. It’s time for you to clear the past and create the future with intention. Being present and enjoying life starts with healing the past. Gaining self-understanding, compassion, acceptance, confrontation of fears, and definition of desires illuminates the path to self discovery and joy. Self-connection brings greater fulfillment.. It’s time to live the life you have imagined!

Your therapeutic journey will be centered around your unique experiences, processing your traumatic experiences through EMDR, IFS and creating a safe space for you to be You.
You’re wrong again! Or at least thats what you’ve been told over & over again, to the point that your brain feels like its floating in acid water, slowing dissolving your ability to perceive any given situation, event or memory of a conversation accurately. You don’t recall having problems with memory or perception before this relationship. You’re struggling to make sense of every day things. This is just one of the effects of narcissistic abuse. It's called gaslighting, it's an insidious tool used to erode your ability to perceive reality and its also one of the most common tools used by a narcissist to control and manipulate you.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
