I bring 10 years experience working with teens and adults in residential (a live-in facility that provides long-term treatment and 24-hour supervision) and community settings. I have experience working with severe disorders such as Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline, Schizophrenia, Depression, and PTSD. I primarily use CBT and DBT to challenge your thinking and teach you new skills to replace behaviors that no longer serve you. Be prepared to be pushed into areas you may normally avoid or have your beliefs examined to determine if they serve you currently.

Hello! I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Regis University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008. I have experience in cultural stress, women's issues, marital/pre-marital, life transitions, and anxiety. My approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Narrative, Dialectical (DBT), and Family Systems therapies. I am passionate about increasing the accessibility of mental health services in marginalized communities and providing culturally competent mental health care.

All of us have had many transitions throughout our lifetime. These transitions can be experienced as positive, neutral or negative. I often educate clients that behavior is a form of communication. When we can learn what a maladaptive behavior is trying to communicate, we can work together to find a way to alter it.
