I have been practicing for over 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a variety of settings including hospitals, out patient mental health clinics, school-based counseling, and most recently a group private practice. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Many people struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, unexpected crisis, tragedy and illnesses. I find my clients are looking to feel heard and understood, to feel like someone is really listening, understanding and validating their experiences.
My approach is client- centered and holistic; drawing from a variety of treatment modalities. Providing a safe, non judgmental atmosphere and my ability to connect to my clients is my foremost strength, and is integral to a positive therapeutic outcome. I believe in considering all aspects of wellness when considering how to best help my client
It is my belief that there is no one size fits all approach. Together we can explore underlying issues that lead to feeling depressed, anxious, stuck, hopeless and alone. With my help we can explore solutions to obstacles and gain insights and skills to address life's many areas of dissatisfaction and despair.
