The practice focuses on traumatic memories, depression, stress management, relationship problems, and acculturation. IPS clinicians see residents of CA, NY, MD, MA, FL, USA and select countries via phone/video. Director Elizabeth Willems holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. She completed clinical training at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology, Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Massachusetts Mental Health Center, BMC Department of Behavioral Medicine, and Casa del Sol as well as other community clinics.
We take an integrative approach to our work with clients. Integrative therapy is comprised of a combination of various psychological theories. One of these is called psychodynamic therapy. We also include EMDR and aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in our work with clients. Finally, we incorporate a social psychological approach to our services.
If you are unsure of what type of support you need, feel confused about what steps you would next like to take in life, feel uncomfortable or "just down," we can talk about ways to help you feel better. We are available to speak during a 15-minute consultation/orientation without cost or hold a full fee 45 to 50-minute session.
