We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Footprints began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

Dr. Kim is a bilingual (Korean/English) clinical neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist. He has a private practice in Englewood. He works as a clinical director of Clinical Psychology Externship program in Korean Medical Program, Holy Name MC in Teaneck. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University. He completed a clinical fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Yale University, Psychiatry Dept, and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the Nathan Kline Institute (NKI) for Psychiatric Research, which is affiliated with the NY State Office of Mental Health.

Intergenerational family dysfunction is not inevitable. I work with adults and children to untangle relational and behavioral patterns that are often foundational to the presenting problem. I take an integrative, strength-based approach and help the client identify perceptions and attributions that may be interfering with optimal self development and fulfilling relationships.
