I use an integrative approach, encouraging you to be more compassionate and kind to yourself, while fusing empowerment through feminist/multicultural/social justice modes, and supporting your authentic self to shine.
We all have things we like in our lives and things we'd like to change for the better. This may mean improving relationships, a desire to improve mood, and/or addressing health issues or social issues impeding on one's ability to have the life they want. We are all doing the best we can, but often we want something more out of life, and we need some help to bring this to fruition. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to identify what is going well and what might need change. It can also facilitate new effective ways of being.

I pull from my love of nature, yoga and integrative medicine to enhance your discovery of what is most empowering for you.
Vulnerability is the strength that makes us humanly genuine. Through a non-judgmental and culturally sensitive lens, we will work together to uncover and build upon your resilience. I am here to empathically support your therapeutic journey and when you feel comfortable, I will gently challenge your preconceptions about yourself and the world around you. This is where growth happens. I encourage you to bring your fullest self to sessions, whatever that may entail, ie. humor, colorful language, creativity, authenticity…and I will do the same.

As a specialist in Integrative Mental Health, my approach is holistic.
Why spend your energy trying to cope with what is, when you could use it to create what you really want? I love working with people who are motivated to make significant life change, even if they don't know where or how to begin! I focus on teaching clients to separate thoughts from feelings, tap into their inner core of intuitive awareness, and use their own inner guidance system -- to move toward their goals, and away from old patterns and obstacles to growth. Along the way, we bring in interesting discussions, good books, homework, mindfulness exercises, and of course, some humor!

I have specialized training in a variety of modalities and utilize those in an integrative approach to therapy.
Trying to ‘do it all’ can be exhausting. And, even while feeling successful, it’s easy to get worn down and feel like we aren’t living as fully as we’d like. Life is hard and relationships are complicated. You deserve the opportunity to find happiness and fulfillment. Therapy creates an opportunity for you to take time for yourself, to think through what you want to be different, and to fix what’s not working. For years, I have worked successfully with individuals, couples, and families to help them increase satisfaction and reconnect in ways that they’ve been missing.

I provide an integrative approach to counseling, utilizing evidenced-based treatment interventions that uniquely cater to each individual’s presenting symptoms.
Hi there! I'm a licensed counselor with a desire to help individuals become acutely aware of their worth and purpose in the world. Through an exploration of each individual’s unique psychosocial history and presenting circumstances, we collaboratively determine the evidenced-based treatment interventions that best cater to the client. I find value in incorporating a multi-systemic framework, helping clients identify how their various systems (family, friends, work, school, and community) contribute to presenting symptoms. I also welcome the opportunity to integrate faith into sessions to the extent that one is comfortable.

My treatment approach is integrative and specific to your needs.
Stories are meant to be told! Let’s talk about the chapters of your story beginning where you feel most comfortable. Undoubtedly, you have faced challenges along the way but let’s also recognize your successes as they are likely what moved you through those challenges. I empower clients to be able to set healthy boundaries, improve communication, foster personal growth/personal insight, and ultimately achieve balance in their lives. Together, we can change the patterns in your relationships, thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors that keep you feeling stuck, so your story will be the one you want to be living today.

I love working with clients who are struggling to find that voice of authenticity that’s been hidden by loneliness, comparing themselves to an impossible ideal, or even years of trauma and abuse. Together, we’ll work in collaboration, incorporating connection to mind and body to reclaim a sense of wholeness.

My approach to psychotherapy is to help my clients understand their conflicts by getting at the roots of their wounds, so they are able to treat themselves with self-compassion and healing. The goal of therapy is to not only unburden the pain one carries, but to help transform inner negative beliefs and cultivate radical self-love.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
