I'm an integrative therapist with a Jungian background, honoring the role of the unconscious.
At its best, therapy is a ritual space where you can come to explore your inner world, develop a relationship with your intuition and make meaningful changes in your life. A true healing experience requires the integration of mind, body and spirit — to release the patterns that no longer serve you, and create neural availability for an expanded experience of self. My practice is rooted in the science and art of holistic healing, blending modern depth-oriented psychotherapy with somatic modalities to support you in the pursuit of well-being and more fulfilling relationships.

I use an integrative approach, tailoring our experience to your needs through a variety of modalities, including strengths-based, somatic, person-centered, and trauma-informed practices.
Choosing to search for a therapist can be difficult and scary. Whether you are navigating stress, life transitions, reckoning with your identity or complex mental health concerns, I provide an empathetic and nonjudgmental environment that supports healing, growth, and empowerment. I offer support to adolescents, adults, and families, with a special interest in working with emerging adults. I understand the role of a therapist can be both a resource and a witness as you discover what needs tending.

My approach is integrative, warm, compassionate, and humorous.
Are you experiencing emotional pain that has become too amplified to sustain in silence? Perhaps the burdens you have been carrying for so long are finally too heavy to manage alone. Unresolved past experiences, loss, dysfunctional relationships, and negative self-criticism can hinder our ability to navigate the difficulties life throws our way. Let’s work together to create a therapeutic relationship built on hope and trust.

Many of my clients are those who tend to give too much, disconnect from their own needs and desires, feel depressed and anxious, and/or experience chronic pain. They are often highly sensitive and imaginative, helpers and healers, with literary, artistic, or philosophical leanings. They are all seeking to heal inner conflicts and relationship problems rooted in early attachment wounds or traumatic experiences. Most importantly, my clients have come to recognize it's time to do their inner work in order to create the outer life they want, and they continue to grow and deepen into their innate wisdom long after therapy has ended.

I work with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, maladaptive coping strategies, and relationship challenges. As humans, we can feel motivated to take those first steps toward healing and struggle to maintain progress. I believe that trauma and challenging life events can leave our inner resources and authenticity untouched, discouraging our growth. Together, we'll build a treatment plan that matches your unique vision for change.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
