This type of work is collaborative and integrative.
In my practice, I believe the therapeutic relationship is sacred and created in partnership with each client to foster safety, compassion, patience and a sense of curiosity. Together we can create an environment to explore your personal challenges, emotions, imagination, limiting beliefs, trauma and any other issues that come forward to be worked through. When a person actively engages the world in a new way it can lead to greater awareness, self confidence, joy, peace and the ability to bring a more authentic, accurate centered sense of self into their relationships.

My specialization is providing evidence based, best practice, alternative and integrative treatments that utilize the latest research on Meditative and Transcendental Therapies to ease psychological symptoms and suffering.
As the world gets more and more complicated so does our ability to manage its day to day stressors. While searching for a therapist I hope you realize that you are not alone. Many of us find ourselves battling depression, anxiety, existential angst, interpersonal problems, trauma, loss and other symptoms related to an increasingly technological society. I see myself as someone who can kindle a light as one navigates such gnarly terrain. My traditional face to face and remote on-line sessions offer, diagnosis, treatment, nonjudgmental support, confidentiality, encouragement, expertise and comfort while you explore new ways to improve the quality of your life.

All too often struggles deplete our energy and leave us feeling down on ourselves. Through rigorous conversation and a highly supportive relationship, I help people gain the clarity and confidence needed to produce desired change. I have extensive training in postmodern therapies, which examine how dominant cultural discourses can have oppressive effects on our lives, identities, and relationships. Prior to working in private practice, I was part of UCLA's network, where I brought social justice aims to integrative models of mental health. I have many years of experience working with couples, families, youth, and adults.

Let's face it: Our world is incredibly chaotic right now. Our inability to control the circumstances can feel overwhelming at times. The good news is that when chaos arises, the opportunity for reflection and change becomes more urgent. My priority is to understand how your symptoms of anxiety and low self-esteem are affecting your relationships and overall sense of self. Once established, we can peel back the layers one by one and create some movement in your life and in your relationships.

Does it sometimes feel like you are struggling to just exist? As a Queer, Latina, AuDHD (Autistic/ADHD) therapist, I get it! Many spaces in this world are not designed for us, and sometimes even work against us. Your feelings of overwhelm and othered-ness are justified, but that shouldn't stop you from building the authentic life you deserve. Have you been labeled as weird, quirky, too sensitive/emotional, lazy, or overall just too much? Are you someone who does not fit the normative societal standards because of your sexual/romantic orientations, gender presentation, or for practicing consensual/ethical non-monogamy?

These dilemmas may seem impossible to overcome while juggling your responsibilities, but the truth is, avoiding your needs and feelings by running on autopilot will never lead to fulfillment in your professional, personal, or romantic relationships. Therapy can help bring peace to both your inner voices and outer world.

No one ever said it (life, relationships, career, school) would be easy but should it be this hard? Taking the first step to explore therapy can be challenging but it can be helpful to obtain support during times of transition or difficulty. If you are still unsure, or even if you are familiar with the therapeutic process, meeting me and getting more information about how I work just takes one session, and a consultation costs you nothing.

"Time does not heal all wounds; it just gives them space to sink into the subconscious, where they continue to impact your emotions and behavior. What heals is going inward, loving yourself, accepting yourself, listening to your needs, addressing your attachments and emotional history and following your intuition" (Yung Pueblo). I partner with my clients to help them find their voice, tell their story, re-engage their strengths and cultivate new ways to stay mindful and grounded—no matter what life throws at them. I work with couples and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship challenges and LGBTQI-related issues.

Together we can work to unravel the defenses that have been unconsciously built to protect your heart and soul from feeling, and have kept you out of the present. Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
